Mission
The Allelon Initiative is committed to empowering and training a new generation of biblical counselors who will cultivate hope in hard places.

Using the INTENT acronym, disciple makers can remember the essential principles of effective discipleship: Invest in a few, Nurture relationships, Teach the Scriptures, Encourage accountability, Nurture long-term commitment, and Transform lives. By adhering to these principles, you can cultivate meaningful discipleship relationships that lead others to follow Jesus more closely.
-
Be selective and intentional in choosing a manageable number of individuals (2-4) to mentor closely, allowing for deeper relationships and personal attention.
-
Engage in life-on-life discipleship by sharing experiences, building trust, and allowing others to see Christ in your everyday life.
-
Keep Jesus at the center of the discipleship process by using the Bible as the primary material, helping others understand and apply His teachings.
-
Foster accountability in your relationships, encouraging those you disciple to live lives of obedience and mission, holding each other accountable to God’s standards.
-
Recognize that discipleship is a long-term investment, suggesting a commitment of 12-18 months to help individuals grow in their faith.
-
Focus on imparting spiritual disciplines, core biblical doctrines, and life transformation, ultimately equipping disciples to be sent out to make more disciples.
